As a busy mom and wife, I am always looking for easy and time saving chicken recipes, and this one fits all of those ‘mom’ requirements.
What I like about this recipe is the fact that it is made with every day ingredients that you most likely have on hand. To save time, I will make step 1 the day before and then refrigerate it in a container. The next day, I will reheat the step 1 ingredients in the microwave for 1-2 minutes and then proceed with step 2. I do this so that I am not spending an hour in my kitchen on a busy work or school night. Continue reading ‘Family Dinner – Baked Chicken Mozzarella Recipe’ »

As a busy mother and grandmother, I don’t have a lot of time to spend in my kitchen preparing dinner every night. What I like about these 3 pork chop recipes is that they are easy to prepare and made with ingredients you most likely have on hand.
All of these recipes take less than 60 minutes from preparation to serving time. You can make the recipe the day before and refrigerate it for the following day. Just reheat in your microwave for 4 to 5 minutes and dinner is on the table in a flash. Continue reading ‘3 Easy To Prepare Pork Chop Dinner Recipes’ »

My husband comes from an Italian family, so he grew up eating authentic Italian food. Shortly after we got married, my mother-in-law invited me over to her home so that I could learn to make their family lasagna recipe. We spent the afternoon making homemade garlic bread, salads and of course, the lasagna.
Here is the recipe that she passed down to me, and now I am passing it down to my daughter. Continue reading ‘How To Make Homemade Italian Lasagna’ »

In the summertime, I like to use my crock pot (slow cooker) several times a week. One benefit to using your crock pot in the summertime is to save money on air conditioning costs.

During the Summer, I enjoy making this homemade Cheese and Broccoli Chowder soup recipe after we harvest our fresh broccoli from our garden, however, you can use frozen broccoli too.
If you don’t have a can of evaporated milk on hand, you can substitute with fresh milk and you can substitute frozen carrots for the fresh ones that are called for in the recipe. Continue reading ‘Hearty Cheese and Broccoli Chowder Soup Recipe’ »

When it came to family dinners in our home, Spaghetti was at the top of the list with our children. Now that our children are all grown, my husband and I enjoy a more grown-up version of this favorite American dish.
I do not recommend freezing any left-overs, however, it will keep for up to 3 days in your refrigerator. Continue reading ‘Baked Spaghetti Family Dinner Recipe’ »

Living in Pennsylvania Dutch Country means we often enjoy German cooking and recipes. Several years ago, I met a German woman down in Lancaster County who gave me her recipe for Beef Rouladen.
What is Rouladen you might ask? It is a thinly sliced beef steak that is wrapped around onions, bacon, mustard and pickles and then tied shut to form a roll. Traditionally it is served with potatoes, dumplings or cabbage. Continue reading ‘How To Make Homemade Beef Rouladen For Dinner’ »
