I’m sure every one of us has experienced the situation where unexpected company drops by right around suppertime. You welcome your guests, but in the back of your mind you’re thinking, “okay, what will I serve for dinner?” A great hostess will be able to pull something together in no time, right? So, dinner? No problem, because you always make more than enough. Dessert? Well if you have a Chocolate Candy Bar Pie sitting in your freezer, then you’ve got that covered, too!
My mother is from Germany and has taught me from little on that a meal isn’t complete unless you have something sweet to finish it off.
